Books, arts & culture
I write a weekly column for Parentdish on the classic children’s books (in particular what it’s like rediscovering your old childhood favourites when you become a parent). And from September 2012, I’m about to start two monthly review round-ups for Good Housekeeping’s website Allaboutyou.com on the best new cookbooks and craft books.
I’ve discussed Cambridge’s famous alumni and academics’ summer reading recommendations for CAM, Cambridge University’s magazine, for two years, which has been fascinating – and I’ve written on everything from how to publish an e-book (for Woman & Home) to my cookbook bedside reading addiction (for Red) to a trip to Haworth to meet the world’s biggest Bronte-fans (for The Sunday Telegraph’s Seven magazine).
Oh, and I’ve also done plenty of book reviews. In particular, I’ve reviewed many lifestyle books for Allaboutyou.com, covering the best new books on sewing, knitting, crochet, crafts, gardening and cooking. I’ve got lots of new book reviews coming up for Allaboutyou.com, so watch this space!
